“The Anglican Church still holds its grip on the affections of Torontonians. According to the annual report of Assessment Commissioner Forman, issued to-day, the city’s religious census shows that there are 137,619 Anglicans in Toronto…The Roman Catholics are almost 50,000 or over one-tenth of the total and the Hebrews number over 30,000.”
